Authors: Lomibao, Ijy James C.
Keywords: Household financial management
Religion
Issue Date: May-2016
Abstract: In the Philippines, religion has huge influences in shaping the lives of an individual which may include his/her financing. As a non-economic factor, in the case for studies from other countries, religion proved to have greatly impacted the economic determination of its followers. In an attempt to link financial management and religion in Lucban, Quezon, the researcher gathered and measured households of different socioeconomic classes, their estimated monthly expenditure, savings and investments, and their perceived level of participation in church related activities. With the research resulting in households with differing perception of level participation and varying levels of financial management having no correlations, it concluded that religion has minimal impact on the financial management of households in Lucban.
