OHCMARS: ONLINE HEALTH CARDS MANAGER AND APPOINTMENT RESERVATION SYSTEM

Abstract

The Online Health Cards Manager and Appointment Reservation System is a web-based application that incorporates a number of healthcards, initially four healthcards, namely: MaxiCare, MedServ, IntelliCare and MEDICard. The system displays the healthcards’ affiliated hospitals, clinics, and doctors. Additionally, the system also displays the doctor’s schedule in the hospitals and clinics where they are affiliated. Aside from providing the list of affiliations, the system also features reservation functionality in which registered users are allowed to reserve an available timeslot with their chosen doctor, online and ahead of time. Reservations, upon submission of details, are pending at first. The system administrator will have to approve the pending reservations on a “first-come-first-serve” basis. Users can receive notifications, regarding the status of their reservation, via auto-email notification or SMS.
