dc.description.abstract | The study aimed to determine the relationship between insecurity and self- esteem among adolescent women. The sample for the study are junior and senior students in an exclusive girls school in Manila. The research utilized a cross-sectional survey design and sampled 212 respondents. The instrument used consisted of three sections: a socio-demographic profile, Rosenberg self-esteem scale and modified version of Maslow's Security-Insecurity Inventory. Consistent with the hypothesis, the results revealed a moderate and positive relationship between insecurity and self- esteem with Cramer’s V coefficient of .646. These variables are important aspects of the self and we can infer that in order to be efficient adolescents, a secure self-esteem is necessary. | en_US |
