Authors: Marcos, Eileen G.
Issue Date: Mar-2002
Abstract: With the political instability and economic decline that our country is facing, the government tends to overlook a more deep-seated crisis, the waste problem. The lack of immediate solution to the problem of increasing waste causes the people to suffer from low levels of living. This research examines the waste management problem in Malabon. The local government exhibits poor waste management, which affects the socio-economic condition of its people. The study presents the concerns of the people of Malabon such as environmental protection and health problems.
