Title: The Nurses Who Chose To Stay in the Philippine General Hospital Instead of Going Abroad. A case study on how local conditions shape professional decision to stay
Authors: Sarino, Gerard P.
Issue Date: Mar-2008
Abstract: This study concerns the Filipino people deeply because in today's day and age, a lot of Filipino nurses choose to migrate and only a few choose to stay in the Philippines. With this study, the researcher wants to pinpoint the reasons and motivations of the preference of some Filipino nurses in PGH to stay in the country. Furthermore, this study will be significant because there is no existing literature focusing on the reasons why Filipino nurses choose to stay in the Philippines. There are many studies done related to my study but they focused more on the reasons why they are leaving.
