dc.description.abstract | It is in a patriarchal society that we Filipinos are born in. And it is with this state that feminist movements shouted for equality between sexes. Their femme voices bear "what men can do, women can too!" Women have proved these words a lot, factlyz in different fields z I almost every aspect. In the entertainment field, sports, international acclaims, arts, science, technology - name it, tough women exist. Eve has proven firmly that she is not Adam's colleague alone. Do these statements disclose extremely that even in the field of crime commitment, women run fast nearing to men offenders' populace? Does their want on equality with man has something to do with women crimes increasing rate? This research gives focus mainly on the underlying behind the increasing population of detained women specifically at the Manila City Jail Female Dorm. Three assumptions behind the continuous incline in population are given emphasis on the study and were given thorough investigations. Elements of these assumptions include an economic issue - poverty; a psychological concern - women victimization; and political - the criminal justice system in the Philippines and the legal dealings these women obtain. | en_US |
