The primary purpose of this study is to illustrate the wide spread and unnoticed corruption occurring in the Armed Forces of the Philippines. As what Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago said in one of her privilege speech, the Military according to the Constitution should protect the Filipino people Instead, with the testimonies of Col. George Rabusa and former Co A Auditor Heidi Mendoza, the AFP as an institution has become the "predator" of the people. The research study focuses on the process and methods of corruption that happened during the 9 year Arroyo Administration: how the former president Gloria Macapagal- Arroyo protected and spoilt the officials of AFP. Likewise, the paper tackled the Plea Bargaining Agreement between Retired General Carlos Garcia and the Office of the Ombudsman. The study's output will lead to an understanding of divisions within the AFP. its officials and other personalities taking advantage of AFP funds.en_US
