Authors: Yuzon, Hazel C.
Issue Date: Apr-2008
Abstract: This study aims to identify the prospects in the method of filing treaties in relation to the Treaties Digitization Project of the Department of Foreign Affairs. By looking at the original method of filing treaties - paper based method - the researcher made a predictive analysis of the method of filing treaties in the Philippines. The study used three criteria for analysis and assessment - accessibility, reliability and security. All these three contribute to the increase in the efficiency of the method of filing treaties. With the Treaties Digitization Project which shall serve as an index of the treaties to which the Philippines is a signatory, the efficiency not only of the method of filing treaties is improved but the quality of the services rendered by the Department of Foreign Affairs as well.
