Prime Care Multi-Specialty Health Systems Inc. offers diagnoses and treatments on diseases in the fields of Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Occupational and Family Medicine, Ear Eyes Nose and Throat (EENT), Ophthalmology, and Dentistry. It also offers services such as laboratory, x-ray and ultrasound. Prime Care implements the traditional paper-based system in processing and keeping records. Important records that Prime Care keeps are patient medical records or charts, and bills or receipts. The clinic also uses manual methods in making reports necessary in the operation of the clinic. With this kind of system the clinic encounters problems such as missing papers or records, difficulty in retrieving a record among thousands of records, difficulty in reproducing records and difficulty in generating reports. The drawbacks in the current system affect the clinic's daily operations and quality of service. To address the problems, a clinic management system called the Prime Care Management System (PCMS) was created for the clinic. Since the system is computer based routines inside the clinic such as searching for patients' files, printing bills, updating patient charts and the making of several reports were automated. With the system, the routines were done faster *and more efficiently. Also, the system was able to provide additional or to enhance aspects such as confidentiality, and validation or error checking.en_US
