Abstract: Aquatic habitats support a wide variety of fauna which includes the freshwater fishes. The freshwater fishes of the six rivers namely, Bayani (Calumpit), Boton, llanin. Minanga. Pamulaklakin (Mabayuan) and Triboa of Subic, Olongapo is the focus of this descriptive study wherein the season of the higher mean standard length was determined. After a year (September 2000 — August 2001), it was observed that most of the freshwater fishes and those that belong to the goby fry showed higher mean standard lengths for the dry season. This general large size of the fish population for the dry season would account for the general maturity of the fish population, or when the fish specimens are on their fertile period for reproduction.
