The research study is an effort to analyze the community-based forest management program of the government. [i dealt extensively on the impacts of the watershed project in the socio-economic conditions of the community inhabited by the Aeta families of Bamban, Tarlac. As such, the researcher had to experience community integration so as to obtain primary data essential to the study. Utilizing the dialectical/historical materialist perspective, it contextualizes the current State of Philippine environment in relation with the existing social milieu. The experience of the: Aeta community will clearly show the factors why most of the ecological rehabilitation projects induced by the government fail to address the deepening and worsening environmental crisis.en_US
