The relations of production are the social relationships between humans, particularly the relationship of each class of humans to the means of production, which includes the ownership of productive facilities and the division of the fruits of productive activity. Simply put, the relations of production refer to the class structure of society. The class structure of society comprises the class that controlled the means of production and received most of the benefits and privileges of the system, and the much larger class they controlled and exploited. This research paper is the documentation of a case study on the relations of production in the farming community of Barangay Didipio. More specifically, this research paper presents a validation of the theory of class relations with an emphasis on the said barangay. After examining this research paper, the reader is expected to understand the nature of class relations and how these are said to affect the socioeconomic conditions of the concerned classes. Apart from this understanding of the theoretical aspect of class relations, this research paper then presents to the reader a validation of the theory by contrasting it with the social reality in the said barangay.en_US
