Abstract: Since the Marcos regime, a lot of human rights violations have already occurred. RA 10353 or the Anti-Enforced or Involuntary Disappearance Act of 2012 is a newly ratified law that aims to penalize the disappearances happening in the country. But despite the ratification of this law, cases of involuntary disappearances are still happening. This paper is a study on how the victims of enforced disappearances, the society, and the government are portrayed in films about enforced disappearances through critical discourse analysis which will be used to recommend on the Anti-Enforced or Involuntary Disappearance Act of 2012.
