Abstract: Unemployment in the urban areas is relatively high because people from the rural areas believe that urban areas, especially the Metropolitan Manila, have a lot of job offers for them. People from provinces usually go to urban areas, hoping that they could find jobs with incomes that would be sufficient to provide for their families. Kasiglahan Village I, Bgy. San Jose, Rodriguez, Rizal is a community of relocatees from Mega Manila who are facing the problem of lack of jobs which result to unemployment. Livelihood programs from the government do not help them uplift their status and income. This research aims to find solutions to this problem being faced by the citizens in the said area through interviews and focus group discussions which would answer questions regarding the causes of the problem, information about government projects that were supposed to pose a remedy to the problem but turned out to be failures and the proposed solutions of the citizens themselves so that the programs and projects of the governments as regards to livelihood would have a greater impact in the village.
