dc.description.abstract | As a result of the growing intensity and frequency of disasters, disaster management in the Philippines has proven to be a constant struggle for the both the government and the people. Annually, the country receives assistances from multiple international organizations in aid to its disaster management. The United States Agency for International Development or USAID, as a leading international development assistance agency from the United States (US), collaborates and provides assistance to aid the disaster management program in the country. However, though it is disguised as an aid agency, USAID is used as a tool to thrust the US foreign policies and interests to the Philippines. | en_US |
