Abstract:
Philippine Transport Company is a transportation company that originated in the
province of Iriga in BicoL Its venture into the transport business had become so successful that
soon the fleet expanded to service other places and so enormous number of passengers.
Currently, travel reservation and ticketing system for Philtranco are done physically at its
various stations. One needs to reserve and buy tickets at the nearest station. Depending on
one's place of residence or work, this system can be taxing and bothersome. Sometimes, there
is no station nearby so one has to travel to get to a bus terminal. There are times when upon
reaching a station, one has to go through a long queue. These occurrences would be time-consuming
and energy-wasting for both the prospective customers and the staff as well.
The system is created to assist the public in gaining an easier and faster way of
reservation by providing them with more selections and real time information. The Bus
Company should be able to offer customers the precise estimation of bus schedule in the
service arrangement and reminder.
