dc.description.abstract Aside from basic necessities, people should have access to healthcare services to be fully healthy. The study was conducted to describe the factors that affect the health-seeking behaviors of the LGBTQIA++ community, their experiences when it comes to accessing healthcare services, and the effects of these experiences on the said community. Qualitative data were gathered through interviews with members of the LGBTQIA++ community and with healthcare providers. Results showed that money and time, a person’s state of health, negative feelings toward society, and negative perceptions of the healthcare services affect the health-seeking behaviors of LGBTQIA++ community. While others get the services they need, there are also instances when members of the LGBTQIA++ community experience discrimination of various forms such as unethical and unprofessional treatment when accessing healthcare services. The effects of these experiences vary from staying positive and learning new information to becoming fearful and hesitant to consult and seek help. Therefore, healthcare services should be improved to accommodate different patients, including the LGBTQIA++ community. Education is necessary for the healthcare provider to understand the LGBTQIA++ community deeper. en_US
