Abstract

This study entitled "Comparative Study of the Farmer's Association of Second Congressional District of Cagayan Valley" tackles the situation of the farmer's associations and their awareness regarding the important issues that are beneficial and as well as issues that are disadvantageous to them. it aims to discuss the present situation of the farmer's associations of Cagayan Valley, how efficient and effective are the programs of the organization, and be able to evaluate the performance of the organization in achieving its goals, and it discusses the different types and faces of feudalism and semi feudalism that affects the organizations positively or otherwise. This study was done in 11 towns of-Cagayan Valley. It is significant because despite the several accounts written about our agricultural sector, not much has been written about the area where the research has been done. Relating the study to the issue of capitalism and globalization, the study discusses the desire of the farmers to change the unjust agrarian organization. From the interview and result that has been derived from data gathered, it is clear that the farmers are struggling to achieve changes in agrarian structure that is favorable for the farmers and their corresponding associations.
