Abstract: Career decision-making is one of the important decisions individual make in their lifetime. Previous researches points the indirect effect of education in career decision-making by building their competencies and interests in certain fields yet holds less influence in terms of direct interventions. With the implementation of the K-12 curriculum, the promise of better workforce for firms, particularly for foreign companies, is secured but at the cost of the rights of the majority. This study focuses on the effect of the new curriculum in various facets of career decision-making of public high school students. It also tries to explain the current contexts of career decisionmaking and education reforms including the new curriculum in the perspective of students and their teachers.
