dc.description.abstract | Reproductive Health has long been a controversial issue in the Philippines. Although there are existing programs for Filipino families covering the Reproductive Health, it has not been completely successful. Funds were not sufficiently provided to support RH programs and activities such as extending free or at least affordable services, distribution of contraceptives and funds to sponsor activities like seminars on family planning. There is a divide between the government and the Church for they have been constantly arguing whether the Reproductive Health Bill should be passed or not. Because of the rivalry between these two most influential bodies, the Filipinos are left confused and undecided; contemplating on various factors such as the economy, Philippine culture, tradition and values. | en_US |
