Meanings of Menopause, Optimism, and Coping - Premenopausal, Menopausal, and Post-menopausal Women

Abstract

This paper explores the different meanings Filipino women undergoing three different stages (premenopausal, menopausal, and postmenopausal) give to menopause. Also, it aims to relate Filipino women’s optimism or positive outlook in life with how these women will look at menopause, how they experience it and how they cope with it.
