Abstract: This Roxas Boulevard Baywalk was developed by the “Buhayin ang Maynila” Urban Renewal Program to promote business activity and to provide employment for the Manilenos. In the study, the researcher sought to describe the economic component of the “Buhayin ang Maynila” Urban Renewal Program in terms of the attainment of its set economic goals. Moreover, the researcher sought to describe the economic-tourism aspect of the Roxas Boulevard Baywalk Project in terms of its contributions to the attainment of economic progress in the City of Manila. This research is a descriptive study on the “Buhayin ang Maynila” Urban Renewal Program vis-a-vis its development of the Roxas Boulevard Baywalk, which used a descriptive approach, supported by simple economic analytical approach. Data gathering was conducted through a collation of relevant periodicals and articles, key informant interviews and an interview guide. The researcher ascertained that the creation of the Roxas Boulevard Baywalk Project brought about the creation of more business establishments and more employment in the area, as well as the creation of a new source of income for the city. The researcher also ascertained that there is a considerable presence of a viable tourism industry in Roxas Boulevard Baywalk and that the businesses in it both challenge the food and beverage service establishments and stand as a selling point for the hotel businesses in its immediate surroundings. The “Buhayin ang Maynila* Urban Renewal Program is described by the study as economically successful in its development of the Roxas Boulevard Baywalk. The mentioned urban renewal program has attained its set economic goals in its development of the Roxas Boulevard Baywalk. Moreover, the study described the “Buhayin ang Maynila* Urban Renewal Program as economically successful in developing the Roxas Boulevard Baywalk as the latter has contributed to the attainment of economic progress in the City of Manila, given the presence of a viable tourism industry in the area and the additional income that it has been generating for the local government since its establishment.
