Health is considered to be one of the most precious assets in a society, and its preservation and restoration are the primary goals of every country specially if aims for development. It is therefore disappointing to note that health services are not being adequately attended to. The inability of the people to receive sufficient medical care should thus be regarded by the government as a big obstruction towards the development of the economy and the society as a whole. This study looks into the effectiveness and the conditions of the free services being rendered by government and non-government health institutions in their effort to alleviate the present health status of the community.en_US
