dc.description.abstractThe Philippines is endowed with a very rich and cultural heritage. It is gifted with the most brilliant people in the field of arts. For this reason, the establishment of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts or NCCA is very much fundamental. It is the principal agency tasked with the preservation, promotion and development of Philippine arts and culture. Through the providing arts, the NCCA has empowered the people embrace its own cultural heritage. With regards to the countless parts that the NCCA has approved, it is tantamount to saying that the Commission has fulfilled and still fulfilling its mandate. By means or providing financial support to fellow arts and cultural organizations, the NCCA gives power to the people preserve and develop Filipino culture. But there are internal and external factors that serve as obstacles in the path that the NCCA is taking. This problems need to be addressed so as not to cause more severe effects to the Commission’s operations, through experiencing problems within and outside, the NCCA continues to tuff it mandates and serve the interests of the Filipino.en_US
