Abstract

Diabetes is a chronic disease. Management of diabetes involves following a treat- ment plan developed by the healthcare provider together with the patient in accor- dance to the living conditions and speci c needs of the patient. There are several types of diabetes and each diabetic patient has a di erent treatment plan. Tools available for self management of diabetes do not address the issue of diversity of diabetes cases among people. Compliance with the management plan may help delay the onset of complications among diabetic patients.
