Abstract:
"Health is Wealth", or so they say. With the advent of Universal Health Care in the Philippines, several strides have been made towards affordable and accessible health care for the citizens of the country. This is especially true in provinces far away from Metro Manila. One such place is Tumauini, Isabela. Multiple projects have been implemented in the municipality to ensure that people have full access to medical healthcare for an affordable price. One such project is the construction of barangay health centers. Located within the municipality's 46 barangays, each one comes stocked with all the necessary medication to combat the local sicknesses as well as technology to diagnose and detect them. With the goal of showing the real-time situation of the healthcare system in Tumauini, Isabela, the study aims to evaluate the efficacy of the barangay health centers in the municipality as well as to determine what the underlying reasons as to why it is the way that it is. This is all moving towards the final objective of finding better and alternative ways to improve them as well as prevent future problems from arising.
