dc.description.abstract This research was done to provide a detailed look on China's revolutionary diplomacy. This paper tackles the exact reasons and mechanisms of the pronouncement as well as the circumstances that led to its proclamation. This research also touches on the revolutionary diplomacy's aftermath and the impact it had on present day China and their foreign relations. Furthermore, this paper looks at the relations between China during the time of its revolutionary diplomacy and the Philippines, a known ally of China's rival, the United States of America. This paper also studies the relations of China and the leftist movement in the Philippines, both of which was inspired by Marxism and Mao Zedong thought. Experts on the field of China Studies, Chinese History as well as personalities with firsthand knowledge of the relations between China and the Philippines were interviewed and was asked about the extent of the relationship between the two parties. Through reviewing literature written for both countries, the researcher was able to write about the circumstances in the past wherein China deployed this tactic in foreign affairs. From the data gathered, the results show that while relations between the two countries had been minimal, there were a few notable exchanges between the People's Republic of China and the Leftist movement in the Philippines. Meanwhile, these past relations may have had long standing effects on the current relations between China and the Philippines. en_US
