Abstract:
Pollution caused by Victorias Milling Company has long been a problem in Canetown Subdivision and North Bacayan in Victorias City, Negros Occidental. The study aims to determine the adverse effects of air and water pollution on the lives of the residents. Pulmonary diseases and lifestyle adjustments made because of pollution are the primary problems of the residents affected. With these problems at hand, there is a dire need for action for all of the stakeholders. The residents' problem with pollution is a continuous struggle. By looking into the different aspects of the effects of pollution, this study aims to provide relevant information and insights that can help the stakeholders in their approach of addressing the pollution problem in the community. This research will also look into the overall performance of the government in upholding the rights and welfare of the people. The current performance of the government will also be assessed in terms of achieving the balance of maintaining economic efficiency and environmental sustainability or if it prioritized one over the other.
