Abstract:
Building a startup company may be a difficult feat for the founders of the company. Various challenges and issues concerning the different aspects of the business, including the management of the company, arise in the different stages of the company. This research aimed to explore the organization development practices of three Filipino-owned startup companies in the digital technological industry based in Metro Manila. This qualitative research used a descriptive research design to investigate the business plan and organizational framework of the company, which are strongly related to the organization development practices done by the startup companies. This research also explored the struggles and challenges faced by these companies. The data collected will be used for the case studies of the startup companies which participated in the study. At least one of the startup companies studied have organization development interventions in the four major areas, namely: (1) human process interventions, (2) techno-structural interventions, (3) human resource management interventions, and (4) strategic change management. The major challenge faced by all startup companies is customer acquisition.
