dc.description.abstract There are different factors affecting job performance based on Terrence Mitchell’s Job Performance Model of Motivation and of these is traits. The researcher has chosen Local Government Unit (LGU) of the Municipality of Natividad, Pangasinan, which is a tall-structured organization, for it is harder for communication to travel upwards since there are a lot of levels it must pass to get to its target especially towards the superiors. On the other hand, there is a perception as well that it is difficult on the part of the introverts to communicate with others or to their superiors. Thus, the research would like to know whether personality has an effect on job performance. Through a survey, the research will show whether or not their personality has a relation with their job performance. As a form of validation, their job performance will be confirmed through the interviews with their superior/s. The survey given to the employees of the Local Government Unit of the Municipality of Natividad is composed of basically two questionnaires: one for the assessment of the job performance of the employees and two to determine those who are the introverts among the respondents. The survey revealed that there is a low correlation between the introverts and their job performance validated by their superior/s as well. Also, the interview revealed that the common cause of the difficulty of the introvert employees is the nature of their job, which varies depending on what department they are in. It is then recommended to take a look at the situation of introverts in a flat-structured organization and another possible research is to know if there is a relationship between personality and motivation. en_US
