Abstract:
Strategic planning plays a vital role in the success of an organization. It can be a challenging process but it can be made easier by making use of simple strategic planning tools which will serve as basis or the strategies the organization may opt to use. With a set of strategic plan, the organization has a guide for the course of action to take whenever they face challenges that threaten then from achieving their goals. The study focused on the strategic planning of the Cavite Provincial Tourism Board and findings show that the organization is generally in good position despite the internal and external weaknesses and threats which cause its slow progress. With the identification of the factors tha effects the performance of the organization, the respondents came up with strategies they could work on. At the end of the study, the researcher made recommendations, one is having more committed and dedicated officers who are willing to give their time in the fulfillment of the organization's goals. The organization must also make use of the resources and opportunities they have like linkages to organizations and academe in their internet media promotions and fund raising.
