Abstract:
The research was carried out to explore the factors contributing to Marital Separation
among Filipino Couples in Taal, Batangas. Survey questionnaires were provided to 200
participants who were chosen through purposive sampling. The topic of the questionnaire
aims to identify the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of; Educational
Attainment, Age when Married, Age Difference, and Length of the Relationship, it further
helped the researcher verify the perception of the respondents about some predetermined
contributing factors that contributed to their Marital Separation through the use of statements
and questioning the respondents on how much they agree or disagree with each statement.
The research yielded the results that showed that there is a significant relation
between the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of; Educational Attainment, Age
when Married, and Age Difference and the contributing factors which are; Communication,
Intimacy, Loyalty, Mistreatment, Health, Financial and Social, while there was no significant
relationship between the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of; Length of the
Relationship, and the said contributing factors.
