dc.description.abstract Anger seems to be a pervasive emotion. Doctors and psychologists meet up with angry patients regularly, pastors and counselors encounter angry people trying to deal with personal problems and parents and teachers see children who seem angry with their siblings, parents, or angry for no particular reason. Yet, the problem of anger often goes unaddressed, and it seldom just goes away. Anger management, which main purpose is to not get rid of all anger but to use anger to enhance one’s life, is a program for controlling anger. It teaches how one can increase the positive aspects or functions of anger and how to decrease the negative functions of anger. However, it has not reached the Philippines yet. With these said, these study aims to know how angry adolescents are. Also, it tries to explore how frequently or easily do they get angry and it tries to identify the reasons why adolescents get angry and the sources of their anger and how do they deal with their angry feeling and what do they do to control it. The study found that adolescents are not angry people mainly because they have strong relationship with their family and they have solid social support system around them. Also, their ability to deal effectively with rejection and frustration helps for them not to be aggressive individuals. Finally, their aggression, if there is any, could be blamed by their exposure to societal violence. en_US
