Abstract:
The purpose of this descriptive qualitative study is to identify the role and the
factors that determine the effectiveness of communication in the relationship
between the client company and the Recruitment Service Provider in the context
of Recruitment Process Outsourcing. The respondents for the study were four (4)
Human Resources Supervisors handling the Core Recruitment Processes of
Rockwell Land Corporation and one (1) respondent from the Recruitment Service
Provider which is the Outsourcer Contract Executive which were chosen using
non probability and purposive sampling. Interview was the instrument used to
gather data and the results we analyzed using thematic matrices and were
interpreted using Systems theory, Berio’s SMCR model and Schramm’s model.
The results show that communication serves as the avenue for the (1) client
Company to accurately inform the Service provider of the directives, terms and
conditions and company background to determine the relationship, (2) Service
provider to disseminate information in acquiring applications from recruitment
candidates, (3) implementation of the selection process of the Recruitment, (4)
service provider to give feedback on the results of the recruitment process.
Factors that determine the effectiveness of communication are the (1) accuracy
of the message, (2) the usage of appropriate channels for certain types of
messages, (3) adaptation of the service provider to the client company, (4) clear
reporting lines, and the (5) timeliness and responsiveness of the Recruitment
Service Provider.
