A Study on the Reconstruction of the Nature Church

Abstract

The Study on the Reconstruction of the Nature Church answers the question: Why is the reconstruction of the Nature Church significant to the parishioners of the Mary Immaculate Parish? The study also deals with the planning and implementation of the reconstruction project, the cultural significance of the Nature Church to the parish community, and the reconstruction's impact on the community. The study documents the history and the architectural features of the Nature Church, its reconstruction, and the innovations made to the original architecture, examines the planning and implementation of the reconstruction project of the Nature Church, assesses and presents the cultural significance of the Nature Church to the Las Pinas community, and studies the impact of the reconstruction of the Nature Church on its constituents. The study employs the Grounded Theory Approach. Data collection is done using mixed methodology. The researcher utilized ethnographic methods to gather information about the Nature Church and its reconstruction and to elicit the response of the church community to the project. Interviews were conducted with key informants that represent the different stakeholder groups of the reconstruction project. The researcher conducted a survey of a hundred parishioners of the Mary Immaculate Parish to assess the values attributed by the parishioners to the Nature Church, and to elicit the impact of the reconstruction project. The researcher also reviewed published works, documents, pamphlets, and booklets on the Nature Church. The study concluded that the reconstruction of the Nature Church is essential and significant to the Mary Immaculate Parish because it is a cultural heritage of the community. The Nature Church is a cultural heritage of the Mary Immaculate Parish, because of its role as a house of the Lord, a symbolic home of the parishioners, and as a uniquely designed architecture. The Nature Church is first and foremost the house of worship of the Mary Immaculate Parish. It is a symbol of the community's unity and its growth. Its architecture epitomizes the rationale and ideas behind its beautiful and one-of-a-kind design. The reconstruction of the Nature Church ensures the preservation of its roles for the present and future generations.
