dc.description.abstract his thesis is about the workers of Bataan Export processing Zone and how the scheme of contractualization affect their lives especially with regards to their job security. First of all, it will discuss the history of the Export Processing Zones or the so called “ industrial enclaves” that are present almost in all countries around the world and the prevailing issues inside these zones. This thesis will also look into the reason why the Export Processing Zones in the Philippines came into existence. More important issue is the condition of the working class as a whole and in particular, the workers of Bataan Export Processing Zone. In relation to this, this thesis will also try to study the different projects the government has especially the Department of Labor in trying to solve problem of unemployment and the worsening crisis in the working and living condition of the workers. Lastly, this thesis will prove that indeed, contractualization has a negative impact on the job security of workers in Bataan Export Processing Zone. en_US
