dc.description.abstract The adjustment of shiftee and transferee students is topic that has long been discussed. However, most of the prior studies would focus solely on the effects on the student’s overall grade. This study aims to develop a tool in order to gauge the adjustment of the University of the Philippines, Manila shiftees and transferees and identify the factors that have led to their level of adjustment. Through interviews it was found that one of the most important factors to a student’s adjustment is their feeling of belongingness in the new academic course or campus. The results of the developed questionnaire would indicate that students who are involved in the social aspects of college as well as give significant effort to their integration, become better adjusted to their new academic course. A larger sample size is recommended for future studies as well as follow-up interviews with respondents in order to better identify the factors that may provide a barrier to their adjustment. en_US
