dc.description.abstract Online Student Evaluation of Teachers is a web—based system that automates the faculty evaluation of the College of Arts and Sciences, University of the Philippines Manila. It was a remake of the previous OSET system used by the university. The system now utilizes the LDAP protocol for authentication. This is in line with the LDAP structures being done by University of the Philippines Manila’s Computer Registration System. The system will get its data from the database of CRS. included here are the classes, the subjects, the students enlisted, and the professors. The system consists of four users, namely: student, faculty, clerk, and the system administrator. Students can view their subjects for the semester and can evaluate it as well. Faculties can view their grades and corresponding remarks. They can also view a detailed report of the evaluation wherein they can view a question and the system will indicate how many students answered this choice. The Office of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs clerk has much functionality namely: setting start and end period of the evaluation. can also send an email to students indicating the start of the evaluation, view detailed and summary reports of the evaluation, can also view the status of the evaluation, can set when can faculty view his/her grade, and making an announcement about the evaluation. The system administrator can add users and students; he/she can also set up the login type of users. en_US
