Mindoro Del Sur: An Exploratory Research on the Proposed Creation of a New Province in Oriental Mindoro

Abstract

This paper entitled Mindoro Del Sur: An Exploratory Research on the Proposed Creation of a New Province in Oriental Mindoro discusses the profile, rationale and development plans of Mindoro del Sur with the intention of providing a “mental picture” and knowledge on the would be creation of a new province. This study also explores the ideas, plans and possibilities with focus on how the seat of government, financial aspects/sources and development plans can affect the development potentials of the new province. And finally, this study provides analysis, conclusion and recommendation with the hope that through this explanatory research new questions and topics will arise and be formulated that can be the focus of further and more thorough studies regarding the developmental concems and potentials of the province of Oriental Mindoro.
