dc.description.abstract This is a qualitative, descriptive study about the humor of Filipino children. The study described child humor by defining what situations a child found pleasurable, amusing or exciting. A child's paglawa or laughter and the child's pagngiti or smile were the indicators of humor. This study also showed the importance of humor in the emotional development of a child. The results showed that humor is essential in the learning of a child. This is a first in the field of child development and would be a great contribution to the study of children. The primary methods used were direct observation of the children and interview with the teacher and mother of the subjects. The main respondents were Nursery students of the Kindergarten Center of Janopol Oriental Elementary School. en_US
