The study described child humor by defining what situations a child found pleasurable, amusing or exciting. A child's paglawa or laughter and the child's pagngiti or smile were the indicators of humor. This study also showed the importance of humor in the emotional development of a child. The results showed that humor is essential in the learning of a child. This is a first in the field of child development and would be a great contribution to the study of children. The primary methods used were direct observation of the children and interview with the teacher and mother of the subjects.
