dc.description.abstract This paper entitled “RAM :an evaluation (Why coup attempts failed in the Philippines) contains discussion about the Reform the Armed Force Movement before the 1986 EDSA Revolution, their formation, roots, and actions. This paper also discusses the transition of the movement into Rebolusyonaryong Alyansang Makabansa after the December 1989 coup attempt. It provides the participation of the RAM members during the 1986 EDSA Revolution, and coup attempts after it, including the 1987 August and December 1989 coup attempts. This paper tries to evaluate the movement as well as knowing the reason of failure in their coup attempt against the Aquino government. All in all it discusses the good side and the bad side of the organization. en_US
