Abstract:
'DEE BEE DEE, VEE CEE DEE!! Murang mura lang!! Anu ba hanap nyo Sir/ Ma'am? Bili na po dito!' These are familiar words that we hear in malls, side walks and other places. They sell their products at low rates and often one stops to look if the latest movie has come out. But these are not your ordinary video stores. They often do not take up permanent stalls in where they are currently located and can change whenever they want to. You see no business permits but there business talk is quite convincing. They sell pirated movies and series, from the latest to even those that are old. You can see movies and series from different countries and sometimes even those rare and hard to find films are available if you know where to look. They used to sell movies individually but now they have 15 in 1, 32 in 1 and so forth for almost the same price as individual movie but still much, much lower than originals. And so people buy them because they are cheaper and budget friendly. Despite of the many warnings against piracy, it still goes on and has no signs of slowing down.(Introduction)
