dc.description.abstract This study, , presents the current situation of street vendors around Metro Manila and the various health, safety, and lifestyle risks and hazards that they experience while one the job. This study was guided by two theories: the Marxist Theory of Health and Wellness and the Dualist School of Thought. This presents an integration of how the working conditions of street vendors located around the various cities of Metro Manila are affected when the concepts of poverty the subsisting capitalist economic system in the country are factored in. This is also an analysis of the efforts of the government towards the improvement and betterment of the health, safety, and lifestyle conditions of the informal working sector. Since this research study is of a qualitative-quantitative approach, the researcher applied a combination of data gathering methods including a survey of 55 respondents, key informant interviews, expert interviews, and the use of secondary scholarly sources. en_US
