dc.description.abstract Social media such as Facebook are widely integrated in the daily activities of individuals primarily for communications. In particular, migrant domestic workers use these platforms to communicate with their loved ones. Because social media have many users in this technological age, social movement organizations are now conducting online movements to reach out to their respective sectors. The study aims to assess the influence of the use of Facebook by UNIFIL-Migrante-HK for mobilizing migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong. It found out that although Facebook is a useful tool for disseminating information and propaganda, social movement organizations cannot rely solely on its use when it comes to organizing and mobilizing their sector. en_US
