Abstract: Single fathers are also subjected to workplace stressors, just like other individuals. A oneshot survey was administered to 31 single that are working to see if the perception of stressors, with variables including Goal Relevance, Goal Congruence, Ego Involvement, Predictability, Controllability, Imminence, Coping Potential, Blame/Credit, and Future Expectation has correlations with the parenting style they adhere to. It was found that Goal Relevance (r=.001, p<.1), Controllability (r=.000, p<.1), and Future Expectation (r=.000, p<.1) have significant values and have direct linear relationship with the parenting styles. The other variables have no effect. It is concluded that while three of the nine variables have effects on the parenting style, the remaining ones are only part of a wider criteria of factors contributing to perception of stressors as it affects the parenting style of single fathers.
