Abstract: Pharmacogenomics is an emerging field that combines pharmacology and genomics to study how an individual’s genetic makeup influences their response to drugs. This personalized approach to medicine holds great potential for improving drug efficacy and reducing adverse effects. However, the effective implementation of pharmacogenomics in clinical practice is hindered by challenges in securely storing and sharing large volumes of sensitive genomic data. With the help of MultiChain, a private blockchain, a data storage and sharing system was developed to address these issues. MultiChain acts as the off-chain and on-chain storage for the system. It allows organizations to join the network and request data while preserving patient privacy.
