Abstract: Previous literature on local faith-based organizations and the connection between perceived organizational support and organizational identification remains scarce in the Philippine setting despite such groups’ importance to society. The study aims to contribute to organization studies research by measuring the levels of perceived organizational support and organizational identification and examining the relationship between the two among members of a specific faith-based organization in the Philippines. The quantitative research used the survey strategy, utilizing a shortened version of the Survey of Perceived Organizational Support and the 1992 Mael and Ashforth organizational identification scale. For data analysis, SPSS was utilized, with mode used to measure the levels of the variables. Spearman’s correlation coefficient was used to investigate the connection between the two variables. One hundred nineteen members of the chosen faith-based organization responded to the self-administered questionnaire. Results showed that levels of perceived organizational support and organizational identification were high, with the mode for both being “strongly agree.” The Spearman’s rho coefficient demonstrated a moderate positive correlation between the two, suggesting the interconnectedness of support and belongingness. The findings offer foundational quantitative data on perceived organizational support and organizational identification and their connection in the specific Philippine and organizational contexts. Further studies may be conducted to gain a deeper understanding of such phenomena and their relationships that may affect the internal dynamics of faith-based organizations, especially in the local setting.
