Schistosomiasis is a water-borne parasitic disease endemic in tropical areas such as the Philippines. Its transmission is dependent on the presence of intermediate host snails. This study proposes a GIS that visually maps schistosomiasis prevalence in the Philippines by plotting infected snails and human cases by allowing fi eld workers to input snail sample information and by integrating with the DOH schistosomiasis system.en_US
