Title: | The Influence of the Perceived Effectiveness of the Communication of Mindshare’s Training Program on Employee Motivation |
Authors: | Borromco, Francesca |
Issue Date: | Mar-2007 |
Abstract: | Interest and curiosity on effective communication and motivation as separate entities have inspired the researcher of this study to look into these two concepts and correlate them within the organizational context. In this research, the communication of the organization’s training program will be specifically looked into. Therefore, this study has determined the primary communication tool used in the subject organization, and through that, the perceived effectiveness of the communication of the training program will be exemplified and measured with the use of McClelland’s Learned Needs and the correlation between the perceived effectiveness of the communication and employee motivation are measured through the use of the Pearson product moment. After data gathering and analysis, it has been determined that the primary communication tool of the employees in the subject organization is the electronic mail or the email, that a huge percentage of the regular employees have been found to be highly motivated and at the same time perceive the communication to them of the training programs to be effective. In addition to that, the correlation between these two aforementioned concepts have been found to be low, which means to say that the perceived effectiveness of communication does not necessarily result to employee motivation. Although we can say that effective communication and employee motivation are related, the relationship is not significant enough to be able to establish that the perceived effectiveness of communication is solely responsible for employee motivation. |
