Abstract:
A descriptive study was used to illustrate the current training methods of McCann
Erickson Philippines (McCann). The study also determined if the training methods employed
enactive learning, observational learning, or a combination of the two learning processes.
Moreover, the study also ascertained the effectiveness of the training methods from the
perspective of the respondents as well as the acceptability of the training procedures based on the
respondents’ assessment. The respondents were the employees of the Creative Department of
McCann who provided the time to accommodate and respond to the interviews. Due to conflicts
sent interview questions through electronic mail. The study
yielded results that proved that the learning processes, observational learning and enactive
learning, were present in the learning processes of McCann in the form of organizational
training. Moreover, the employees found the training methods to be acceptable because of their
practicality, versatility, and adherence to employees’ personal values. Furthermore, majority of
the respondents perceived the training methods to be effective because these enabled them to
apply the lessons that they learned to their assigned tasks. The training methods in McCann,
composed of a series of lectures on different creative techniques. Other training methods
consisted of team building activities, group assignments, and creative workshops which required
employees to generate samples of radio and television commercials and print advertisement.
Efforts to further improve the data collection instrument, to increase the number of organizations
which were perceived to be effective, were McFLY and McU. These training programs were
in schedule, the respondents were
studied, to offer additional organizational methods for the company, and to provide more detailed description of the training methods should be aimed for the purposes of future
researches related to the study.
